Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser, Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) explained that his agency has developed a strict database linked with banks operating in the Kingdom on ways of combating money laundering. This came during his opening in Riyadh today the 2nd annual symposium on commitment to combat money laundering, organized by the Banking Institute, an affiliate of SAMA, in collaboration with Compliant Company. He said SAMA has formed an inspection team that visits banks operating in Saudi Arabia to make sure the plan is enforced. He described money laundering as among the most dangerous crimes against society and economy.
