Under the patronage of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Umm Al-Qura University will organize next year the 3rd World Conference of Islamic Economy, the University's Rector Dr. Walid bin Hussein Abu Al-Faraj announced here on Monday evening during an address at a symposium entitled "Islamic solutions to the Global Economic Crisis" held within the activities of the 25 Janadriyah National Festival for Heritage and Culture. The symposium aims to provide Islamic visions for the reasons of the global economic crisis and to offer solutions proposed from the points of view of the Islamic economy. Addressing the Symposium, Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Turki Al Saud, the Undersecretary of Saudi Arabian National Guard for Western Sector expressed his pleasure over the launching of this scientific symposium from Makkah within Janadriyah Festival held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. He said that for the first time in the history of the Festival, royal directives were issued this year that the Festival activities should be held outside Riyadh, throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
