The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the talks, contacts, meetings and consultations that took place during the past few days with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries and their envoys on regional and international developments as well as ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said that the King briefed the Cabinet on the talks he held with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Haris Silajdzic, Jordanian Prime Minister Zaid Rifai, US Defense Secretary Robert Gates, the Special Representative of Russian President in the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanov and Qatari State Security Chief Mohammad bin Ahmad Al-Musnad. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also briefed the Cabinet on the messages he received from Jordanian King Abdullah II and Libyan Leader Muammar Al-Qaddafi. Dr. Khoja also said that the Cabinet discussed a number of domestic issues, particularly the cultural activities including the award ceremony of 32nd King Faisal International Prize 2010 which was graced by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. --More
