Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General has ordered to hand over Al-Saqqaf Historical Palace in Makkah to Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) for opening it to visitors and has donated SR 2 million for its restoration and development. Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, SCTA President has expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Crown Prince for this kind gesture which will be added to a series of the Crown Prince's positions in support of national heritage, emphasizing the importance of the Palace as one of milestones in the Saudi history of heritage sites. It is noteworthy that the Palace had been the headquarters of the State and Center of Government in the reign of late King Abdulaziz and Late King Saud.
