An Egyptian magazine has highlighted the importance of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Heritage and Culture, recently announced by Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Commander of the National Guard for Technical Affairs, and who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee for the National Festival for Heritage and Culture. It will be possible for competitors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad to participate in the prize which includes a certificate and medallion in addition to SR One million in cash, said the Cairo-based al-A'lem newspaper. The paper pointed out that the national festival for heritage and culture is annually organized by the National Guard at al-Janadriyah and said the organization of the festival stands as a witness for the great attention given by the Saudi leadership to heritage and culture.
