Nigeria's Acting President Goodluck Jonathan sacked the country's national security adviser (NSA) today, a powerful figure who was among the inner circle of aides to ailing President Umaru Yar'Adua, according to Reuters. Jonathan replaced Sarki Mukhtar with Aliyu Gusau, a retired northern general who served as national security adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, his office said in a statement.
