The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources will participate tomorrow in the activities of the International Forum and Exhibition on "Environment and Sustainable Development, which is being organized by International Ozone for International Exhibitions and Conferences. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the Assistant Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Petroleum Affairs, will chair the second session of the Forum due to be held under the title of oil and renewable energy: integration and not competition. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman underlined the importance of the Forum and the Exhibition and said the Forum embodies the great attention given by the Kingdom to environment. He noted that oil and renewable energy are complementary to each other, adding that oil will remain the major source for future generations for energy in the world for several decades to come. Prince Abdulaziz expressed appreciation for the great efforts being exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz to establish projects of renewable energy, highlighting the role of King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST) to develop solar energy. He expressed optimism that the Forum would yield fruitful results.
