A number of senior members of the Shoura Council today expressed welcome and pleasure of the forthcoming meeting of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with the Shoura Council to kick off its second year of the fifth session. In statements to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), they underscored the importance of the key speech the King will deliver at Sunday's meeting, expected to focus on the pillars of the Kingdom's domestic and foreign policies, the state's positions towards the Arab and Islamic current issues and the economic, social, health and educational achievements as well as the government's working program for this year. They said the Shoura Council has recently upgraded the rhythm of its activity and improved its performance, citing that during the outgoing year, the Council held 77 sessions and issued 111 decisions. They said the King's comments will form a wise guide for the members over the coming year and the years ahead.
