Education: 1- Agreeing to extend the executive program of educational cooperation for the years (2010-2012), where 100 scholarships awarded to Yemeni students, males and females, to study at Teacher's Colleges have been shifted to Education Faculties within Saudi universities attached to Ministry of Higher Education. 2- An Executive program for cultural cooperation between the University of King Saud in Riyadh and University of Taeiz has been signed, and a memorandum of cooperation between the University of King Saud in Riyadh and the University of Aden has been signed, also, by director of the University of King Saud, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Osman and director of the University of Taez, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Sufi and the Rector of the University of Aden, Dr. Abdulaziz Salih bin Habtour. Sixth - Health: 1- A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the two countries by Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-rubaya for the Saudi side and Minister of Finance, Dr. Numan Tahir Al-Sihaibi for Yemeni side. 2- The Yemeni side extended gratitude for donation by the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General to build a teaching hospital and a tumor centre at University of Hadharmut for Sciences and Technology in Al-Mukalla, during his visit to Mukalla on 1, 6, 2006, and the Yemeni side expressed desire for the Kingdom to organize training courses for a number of Yemeni physicians, technicians and administrators at King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh to run this university hospital, and the Saudi side welcomed that. The two Ministries of Health of the two countries shall coordinate for this purpose later. 3- The Yemeni side expressed appreciation for continued visits by Saudi specialized medical teams' to Yemen to cure and follow up difficult cases in Yemen in addition to Kingdom's provision of medical grants to treat Yemeni patients in its hospitals. 4- The Yemeni side hailed medical services offered by Assalam Hospital in Saada and the Saudi Hospital in Hajjah, Yemen, and the support, operating and running of these two hospitals by Saudi Arabia, as well as, the kingdom's approval of providing a lump sum of 50,000,000 Saudi riyals for operating and running of the Hospital of Aden for the next coming 5 years. -- more
