The two sides expressed satisfaction for the continuing growth of bilateral trade which resulted from the mechanisms and organizations frameworks adopted by the Council. 2- The two sides welcomed what has been approved in minutes of meetings by the Saudi-Yemeni technical commercial team to study commodities' flow between the two countries (the fifth, sixth and seventh) that took place in the city of Sana'a on 7-9, Jan. 2008, in Jeddah on 15-17. Sep. 2008 and in Sana'a on 6-8, Jun. 2009. The two sides were asked to continue their cooperation to serve mutual trade. 3- In the framework of the two countries' efforts to facilitate trade between the two countries, hold mutual functions among businessmen and continue efforts by the public and private sectors in this regard, the Saudi and Yemeni ministers of commerce and industry and representatives of governmental and private sectors held a joint meeting in Jeddah on 24, 6, 2009. on the sidelines of this meeting, the second meeting of Saudi-Yemeni Joint Business Council was held. They stressed activation of the agreed on mechanisms by the Saudi-Yemeni technical commercial team to solve all difficulties that may face their exports including immediate coordination by the heads of the two sides of the team and the concerned authorities to remove any obstacle hindering their exports. 4- The two sides expressed satisfaction at appointment of a Saudi commercial attaché in Yemen beginning from 29, 6, 2009 to boost bilateral commercial cooperation. The Office of the Attaché was opened in conjunction with the functions of the first meeting of the preparatory committee of the 19th session. 5- The two sides reaffirmed the importance of direct cooperation between their two private sectors through intensifying reciprocal visits of businessmen, holding trade fairs and orientations on their respective exports alternately, and promote Joint Businessmen Council in order to serve mutual trade and investment. -- more
