Sheikh, Egypt, Feb 26, SPA -- Three foreign tourists were killed and five badly injured Friday when a cruise ship crashed into a pier in the Egypt Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, a security source said, according to dpa. The three killed tourists were from India, Brazil and Honduras. The injured - two Italians and three Britons - were taken to Sharm el-Sheikh hospital for treatment, the source added. The cruise liner was carrying around 1,450 passengers from all over the world. The rest of the passengers were being put up in hotels until their return to their home countries. The ship had arrived in Sharm al-Sheikh from another Red Sea port in Hurgada, the source said. Bad weather is believed to be the cause of the accident, as Egypt has been witnessing stormy, rainy weather since Thursday morning. Forecasts said more heavy rains and hail are expected in different parts of the country.
