Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Open University and Chairman of AGFUND, today inaugurated the headquarters of the AOU in Amman, Jordan, in the presence of Queen Ranya Al-Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prince Raad bin Zaid and Jordan's Prime Minister Samir Al-Rufaee. Addressing the gathering, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the President of the Board of Trustees of the university, thanked King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and Queen Ranya for hosting the university and facilitating the establishment of the first permanent headquarters of the university's branch in Jordan. Recalling the situation seven years ago when the university was just an idea, he said that idea has come to reality, thanks to the encouragement and donations of several figures and bodies, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
