In the framework of the attention of both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America to contribute to the international efforts seeking urgent solutions to the problem of climate changes, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Department of Energy on cooperation between the two sides in the researches of renewable energy and development of technology of alternative energy. The MOU was signed by President of KACST, Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel who represented the Saudi side and the visiting U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu who represented the U.S. side, at the headquarters of KACST. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of officials.
