Six people including one woman were found headless inside a car Thursday in the western Mexican city of Morelia, bringing to 21 the number of people killed in the state of Michoacan so far this year. The victims bore bullet wounds, and letters had been written on their bodies, said police in Morelia, about 300 kilometers west of Mexico City. The car was found on a road linking Morelia with the town of Quiroga, dpa reported. Violence connected to organized crime was blamed for more than 7,700 slayings in 2009 in Mexico, according to a count by the daily El Universal.
