Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Chief of Allegiance-Pledge Commission, patronized here today the finals of King Abdulaziz Prize for Beautiful Camels Festival in Um Ruqaibah. Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Khamis bin Bati bin Minaikher, Chairman of the Religious, Call, Cultural and Charitable Committees, said five million Saudi Riyals, donated by Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, was distributed over the poor and needy in a number of villages and remote areas. He said it was decided to launch Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Prize for Folk Poetry. The call committees held more than 500 lectures, speeches and addresses this year, he said. He also announced the launch of Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Prize for the Nation and Society, to be allotted for whoever presents noble services for the society. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud won the prize in its first version, with Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, occupying the second place followed by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Mohammed bin Fahd, Governor of the Eastern Region; Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs; Prince Mit'eb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Commander of the National Guard for Executive Affairs; and Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz. For his part, Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz confirmed that this festival will make better show in the years ahead, expressing wish that his donations would have not been announced as he did not mean to publicize them. The festival was attended by a number of princes, led by Prince Mit'eb bin Abdulaziz; Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the Emiri Court of the State of Kuwait; Sheikh Sabah bin Fahd Al-Sabah and Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali Al-Sabah.
