Commerce Ministry Issues Statement on Toyota Car Recall

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry disclosed today that it has received a letter from Abdullatif Jameel Company, Ltd., the Agent of Toyota Company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, that Toyota decided to conduct a special campaign for certain vehicles for possible default in the speed pedals (gasoline) in the world.
The Ministry noted Abdullatif Jameel Company announced the campaign in local newspapers and would inform owners of these vehicles to report to the Company to install the required part upon their arrival from Toyota.
The cars are the following models:
-Avalon (manufactured between January 2005 to January 2010) and the number of vehicles 14,561 .
-Sequoia (manufactured between November 2008 to January 2010) and the number of vehicles 6, 222.
