Syrian Vice President Farouk Al-Shara said that he is to forward to the Moroccan King Mohammad VI a letter from the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, dealing with consultations on the upcoming Arab summit, scheduled to be held in the Libyan capital of Tripoli in March. Al-Shara told the press upon his arrival in Rabat last night, that the letter concerns developments in the Arab world and means to ensure that the upcoming Arab Summit would achieve positive results. Al-Shara affirmed that this visit was aimed at pushing Arab common action forward and reaching optimal Arab coordination and cooperation, assuring that relations between Syria and Morocco were historic, solid and deep-rooted, and that they would remain so and become even more firm. The official delegation accompanying Al-Shara includes Presidential Political and Media Advisor Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban and Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad. The Vice President's tour of the Arab Maghreb countries includes Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania and Libya, KUNA reported.
