The Speaker of Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Alsheikh presided over its 76th session here today during which the Council renamed its specialized committees, in preparations for its second year of its 5th convention due to begin next month. The Secretary General of Shura Council, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that the Council listened to a report submitted by the Secretariat General on renaming of 13 specialized committees, amending the authorities of some of them and transferring some aspects of jurisdiction to others. It also constituted a new committee under the name: Human Rights and Petitions. Al-Ghamdi said the Council will name chairmen, their deputies and members of these committees in its next session due to take place tomorrow. The Council also has reviewed several reports submitted by its committees, and concluded by recommending further discussion on it in next sessions. -- SPA
