Secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has disclosed a series of movements the OIC started to contain the phenomenon of sectarian strife that cause conflicts, acts of violence and internal fighting in a number of Islamic countries. In an interview published here today by the Tunisian / Al-Sabah / newspaper, Ihsanoglu made clear that these movements come in the context of activating the recommendations of the summit which was held in 2004 with the participation of Ulema (Scholars) from across the Muslim world. On the other hand, OIC Secretary General criticized the result of a referendum held recently in Switzerland banning the construction of mosques' minarets and termed it as a dangerous precedent refers to the growing of the neo-racism against Arabs and Muslims.
