The Council of Saudi Chambers is making preparations to organize the Saudi-Qatari Economic Forum to be attended by high-ranking Qatari delegation headed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Speaking on the occasion, Salih Kamil, the President of the Council of Saudi Chambers and the head of the Saudi side in the economic forum, said the forum came in line with the directives of the Saudi Leadership in activating implementation of the recommendations of the first meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. It is also being convened in recognition of the importance of economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar within the framework of enhancing and promoting relations between all member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. He added that the agenda includes discussing the opportunities of investment partnership between the two sides. The meeting will be attended by the Qatari delegation comprising 120 businessmen from the leading Qatari companies along with their counterparts from Saudi Arabia. It will be held at Makarim Hall of Riyadh Marriott Hotel on February 08. There will be ongoing and working bilateral meetings between the two sides to discuss partnership opportunities in the banking sector, insurance, transport and services, energy and industry as well as real estate, construction and trade.
