Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General received at his palace here today Kingdom's Mufti-General and Chairman of Senior Scholar Council and Scholarly Research and Ifta Department Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, who is also Supervisor-General of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Chair for Contemporary Islamic Studies at King Saud University (KSU), the University's Rector Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Othman and the Chair's members. At the outset of the audience, the Crown Prince expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Mufti-General and members of the Chair for their hard and sincere works in the service of Islam and wished all success for them, praising the progress made by the University in Research Chairs and other developmental programs, resulted in the University's progress in the world rankings and its accomplishments, including its access to the list of global top 500 universities in Shanghai classification, registering the only Arab presence there. The audience listened to the directives of the Crown Prince and his assertion that studies and researches within the Chair will be distinguished scientific additions in studying various Islamic issues and addressing them. --More
