South African President Jacob Zuma received UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed in Pretoria on Friday. At the meeting held at the Presidential Palace, Sheikh Abdullah, who was accompanied by an official delegation, conveyed to the South African Head of State, greetings from President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and well-wishes for the people of South Africa. President Zuma also asked Sheikh Abdullah to convey his greetings to the President of UAE, and emphasized his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with the UAE. Zuma added that the government of South Africa lends particular attention to the relations with UAE in view of the distinguished position the country has attained, according to a report of WAM. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them, in addition to a number of issues of common concern. The meeting was attended by Minister of State Reem Al Hashimi, Director of African Affairs at the Foreign Ministry Essa Abdullah Al Basha Al Nuaimi and UAE Ambassador to South Africa Ismail Obaid Al Ali.
