Armenia's foreign minister has warned Turkey against dragging its feet on ratifying an agreement to improve ties, Reuters reported. Edward Nalbandian said that efforts to heal relations between the two could collapse if Turkey keeps delaying the ratification of the October agreement, sets preconditions and links it to other issues. Nalbandian's statement Friday comes in response to Turkey's warning that an Armenian court's reference to the 1915 mass killings of Armenians could harm efforts to end a century of enmity. Turkey also wants Armenian troops withdrawn from Nagorno-Karabakh, an Armenian-occupied enclave in Azerbaijan. Turkey shares ethnic and cultural bonds with Azerbaijan and wants a peaceful settlement to the dispute over Nagorno-Karabakh.
