The Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Samari said today that the Scientific Committee of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Prize and Grant for Arabian Peninsula History Studies has announced the winners of the prize and grant for the year 1429-1430 H. The number of winners is 21, of whom 11 won the prize and 10 won the grant. The winners of the five-category prize and grant are as follows: First: Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Prize: 1- The Prize for Pioneers of Arabian Peninsula History was granted to Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Aboudi, Dr. Ahmed bin Omar Al-Zayla"i, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Humaid and Abdulrahman bin Zeid Al-Suwaida. The prize was granted to the pioneers in recognition of their efforts in the service of the Arabian Peninsula history. The value of each prize is SR 100,000. 2- The Prize for Youth in the field of Arabian Peninsula History Studies was withheld by the Scientific Committee. The prize is granted to youth researchers interested in the Arabian Peninsula History Studies in general and the history of Saudi Arabia in particular. The value of the prize is SR 50,000. 3- The Prize for Scientific Book & Article. The Prize for Scientific Book amounted to SR 100,000 was granted to Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Thunayan and Dr. Nadia bint Abdulaziz Al-Yahya. The Prize for Scientific Article amounted to SR 10,000 was granted to Dr. Said bin Dubies Al-Otaibi, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Sunaidi and Dr. Dalal bint Mukhlid Al-Harbi. 4- The Prize for PhD Thesis was granted to Dr. Huda bint Abdullah Al-Abdulali. The value of the prize is SR 30,000. 5- The Prize for Master"s Thesis was granted to Khalid bin Abdullah Khariri. The value of the prize is SR 20,000. Second: Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Grant: The value of the grant is SR 20,000 to SR 80,000. A number of researchers were selected to receive the grant.
