The Arab Islamic Council welcomed the Saudi-Syrian summit held yesterday in Riyadh between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. In a statement issued here today following its regular meeting chaired by its Secretary-General Mohammed Ali Al-Husseini, the Council said that the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to bridge the Arab gap and adopt the option of Arab - Arab reconciliations would end the state of weakness and fatigue in the life of the nation and serve the unification of Arab ranks and strengthen the strength of the nation in the face of threats and challenges it faces.
