Police say 15 people have died and another 15 were injured when a regional bus crashed into a truck and burst into flames between oasis towns in Algeria"s Sahara Desert, AP reported. A police statement says six of the 15 people hurt had serious injuries after the collision between El Menea and Ghardaia. The site of Sunday"s crash is in north central Algeria, about 600 kilometers (350 miles) south of the capital, Algiers. An investigation is under way. The North African country traditionally has about 4,000 deaths from highway crashes and other incidents each year.
