Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 23-year-old Nigerian accused of attempting to blow up a jetliner bound for Detroit, today made no plea in federal court to criminal charges stemming from the Christmas Day incident, according to Reuters. U.S. Magistrate Mark Randon entered a not guilty plea on Abdulmutallab"s behalf to six charges, including attempted murder and the attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. The failed bombing attempt prompted President Barack Obama to call for a sweeping review of U.S. security procedures.
