Flash floods swept through three subdistricts in Pandeglang district, Banten province, on Wednesday, inundating hundreds of homes and destroying household utensils, ANTARA reported. The floods followed four hours of heavy rains, causing Cilampuyang and Cisata rivers to overflow, Medi, a natural disaster mitigation volunteer, said. The three affected subdistricts were Menes, Labuan and Patia. In the worst-hit area, 1.3-meter deep flood water inundated tens of houses, causing damage to household utensils, he said. But there was no immediate report of casualties. "So far, we have not received any report of casualties caused by the natural disaster," he said.
