Japan PM says Finance Minister resigns

Japan"s Prime Minister says he has accepted the resignation of the Finance Minister, according to The Associated Press.
Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama said Wednesday that Finance Minister Hirohisa Fujii is stepping down for health reasons. He made the comments on public broadcaster NHK TV.
The 77-year-old Fujii checked into a hospital on December 28, 2009 for rest and health checks. He is the oldest member of Hatoyama"s Cabinet.
