Iraqi oil production would reach around 11.4 million barrels per day (bpd) within the upcoming five years, said Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki on Sunday. Maliki lauded the recent oil deals signed between Iraq and foreign companies saying it was a step in the right direction. The Iraqi official also touched on the possibilities of investing in oil fields in Iraq"s Kurdistan, saying that he would discuss this issue with head of the Kurdistan government Barham Saleh, according to a report of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). Revenues from Iraqi oil ventures would result in mutual benefit for all Iraqis without discrimination, affirmed Maliki.
