Three Palestinians, including an eight-year-old girl, were wounded late Friday in Israeli air raids targeting Shujaiya district, eastern Gaza City, Palestinian medical sources said. "The three Palestinians were wounded by the shrapnel of rockets and shells that fell on a number of houses in the area," the sources told reporters. A local radio station had reported late last night that Israeli jets had raided three different areas in Gaza Strip; Shujaiya, Beit Lahiya, and an open area east of Khan Younes. The radio said that the Israeli jets fired three rockets at an open area in Shujaiya, while tanks opened heavy fire at the outskirts of the same district, leaving at least three people wounded and causing material damage. It also said that the jets targeted a mobile metal cabin close to Beit Lahiya, while a third raid was staged over an open area east of Khan Younes, southern Gaza Strip, KUNA reported.
