Naimi reaffirmed the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide oil to global markets. On May 05, 2009, GCC leaders held the 11th Consultative Meeting in Riyadh under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. During the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and GCC leaders agreed that Riyadh is the headquarters of the Gulf Monetary Council. On May 16, 2009, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Riyadh. At the beginning of the meeting, King Abdullah decorated the Brazilian President with King Abdulaziz Medallion. Also, the Brazilian President decorated King Abdullah with the Grand Medallion. On May 26, 2009, King Abdulaziz Public Library and King Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation for Islamic Studies and Human Sciences in Casablanca held Award Ceremony of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Translation.
