Shots fired at a passing car in the northern West Bank fatally wounded an Israeli motorist late Thursday afternoon, first aid officials said, according to dpa. Paramedics called to the scene were unable to save the victim"s life. It was unclear whether the fatality, thought to be a resident of a nearby Israeli settlement, was hit in a drive-by shooting, or was the victim of an ambush. Israel troops were scouring the area to try and locate the gunmen, Israel Radio reported.
