Two government militiamen and one civilian were killed Friday in an attack by rebels in the southern Philippines, dpa quoted a military spokesman as saying. One militiaman was also wounded when the guerrillas attacked an army outpost in Cateel town in Davao Oriental province, 960 kilometres south of Manila, according to Lieutenant Colonel Romeo Brawner. Brawner said the militiamen fought back fiercely against the guerillas. Brawner added more troops have been dispatched to the area to pursue the fleeing rebels. --SPA
