Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation created a Charity Fund for the treatment of patients at Sultan bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City. The Fund bears the cost of treatment, care and rehabilitation of hundreds of patients who can not bear such costs. During the past year, the Fund bore the costs of treatment and care of 840 patients. These costs amounted to SR 11 million. Also, the Fund provides support for the program of amputees and users of assistive devices. The Fund"s resources consist of voluntary contributions, donations, charity, Zakat and Awqaf. This Fund was established and supported by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who is also the Supreme President of the Foundation. Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation donated many health facilities, including: - Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Kharj at a cost of SR 30 million. - Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Ahsa at a cost of SR 54,5 million. - Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center in Hafar-al-Batin at a cost of SR 20 million. The Foundation supported many health projects abroad, including: - Sultan Center for Laparoscopic Surgery in Kosovo. - Cardiac Center in Kazakhstan. - Cancer Center in Morocco. - Prince Sultan Center for Speech and Hearing in Bahrain. --SPA
