The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable of congratulation and appreciation to the Minster of Labor, The Chairman of the Boards of Director of the General Organization of Social Insurances (GOSI) and all the GOSI staff on the national achievement at the International level by winning 4 distinguished awards given by The International Social Security Association(ISSA). "We thank you and the staff of the General Organization for Social Insurance for this accomplishment. We do appreciate the efforts that led to this grand success," the King said in a reply cable to Minister of Labor Dr. Ghazi Al Qusaibi on behalf of the Ministry of Labor and GOSI. During the Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific the GOSI representative was presented with the First ISSA Good Practice Award in a ceremony on October 21 in Manila, Philippines. The first ISSA Good Practice Award for Asia and the Pacific was given jointly. The General Organization for Social Insurance of Saudi Arabia for the joint project The Unified Law of Insurance Protection Extension for the Gulf Cooperation which the Jury commended for its efforts to extend social security coverage to all citizens working in the six Gulf Cooperation Council States. GOSI also won Certificates of merit with special mention for the Constituent self-services (CSS, E-Services). GOSI also won two other certificates of merit; one for GOSI practices and experiences in business intelligence (BI) and the other for the Social insurance management information system (SIMIS)
