Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO) has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) to supply 300, 000 tons of urea fertilizer to the Bangladeshi Market. In a press release issued here today, QFCO said with the signing of this agreement, its share in the overall urea market in Bangladesh will exceed 45%, stressing that the deal is considered a significant step in QAFCO"s strategy towards the marketing of volumes expected to be produced after new production trains (QAFCO-5 /QAFCO-6) go on stream in 2011 and 2012, when the company"s production of urea is expected to reach 5.6 MT per annum. The agreement was signed on behalf of QAFCO by its General Manager Abdullah Al-Sweidi and for BCIC by its board chairman Massoud Al -Siddique, QNA (Qatar News Agency) reported.
