Kuwait has expressed its appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the Kingdom"s contribution of $ 500 million to the Fund for Supporting Small and Medium enterprises aiming at providing new job opportunities, improving incomes, and combating poverty in the Arab world. Kuwait"s Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Rodhan Al-Rodhan pointed out the Kuwaiti cabinet was briefed in its meeting on Sunday on the two messages exchanged between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Kuwait"s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with regard to the Kingdom"s contribution to the Fund. The Fund was established at the initiative of the Kuwaiti Emir during Arab Economic, Social and Development Summit, held in Kuwait earlier this year with a capital of two billion dollars and Kuwait"s contribution of $ 500 million to the Fund. Al-Rodhan said that the Kuwaiti cabinet expressed its great appreciation of the King for this generous contribution to the Fund for supporting the private sector in Arab countries, noting that this contribution will be a new addition of the King"s record in support of joint Arab actions and in the service of the Arab nations. He noted that the Cabinet also expressed its thanks to and appreciation of the King and the Government of Saudi Arabia for their great efforts, services, facilities and care provided for pilgrims.
