Presided over by its Vice Speaker Dr. Bandar bin Mohammad Hamza Hajjar, the Shoura Council held here today its 57th ordinary session. In remarks at the outset of the session delivered by Dr. Hajjar, the Shoura Council congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior, and Chairman of Hajj Supreme Committee; the Saudi people; and Arab and Muslim nations, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adh-ha. He expressed the Council"s appreciation for the efforts exerted by various government bodies to ensure the convenience of pilgrims and and success of Hajj. The Council valued the royal order to form a committee of fact-finding presided over by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah Region, to look into the causes of the catastrophic events that have recently taken place in Jeddah. --More
