The language of figures confirmed the success of the Saudi Arabian civil defense forces, with the deployment of more than 13750 officers and more than 3900 multi-purpose machines, performing their functions and duties in serving the pilgrims, with no recorded major accidents affecting the safety of pilgrims, in addition to the dramatic decrease in the number of injuries and deaths compared with previous years. Moreover, the heavy rains witnessed by Makkah and the holy places on the day of the movement of pilgrims to Mina, has demonstrated the readiness of the Civil Defense Forces, where detailed plan to counter rains and floods was immediately applied, ranging from an urgent caution for pilgrims to get away of flood paths (khors) or mountain bottoms to deploying teams equipped with water rescue boats on alert and a large number of patrols to monitor the field situations and up to guide the pilgrims to go to areas with the least vulnerable floods risks. At the same time, the Command of Civil Defense Forces deployed more than 1000 medic in the vicinity of the Holy Mosque, spread them over 13 fixed points inside and outside the holy site to provide first aid services to the pilgrims and admit any cases in need of treatment in hospitals or medical centers in the sacred capital, in addition to the readiness of the Civil Defense"s units for rapid intervention to achieve smooth traffic flow in the vicinity of the holy Mosque and the central region. --SPA
