Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states concluded in the Qatari capital of Doha today a one-day meeting, the second designed for discussing a paper submitted by Qatar to restructure the role of the GCC. The meeting dealt with the outcome of a number of concerned ministerial committees according to the new vision submitted by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, during the GCC consultative summit held in Riyadh last May. In a joint press conference following the meeting, Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah and Oman"s Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Alawi Abdullah reiterated the solidarity of the GCC member countries with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in confrontation of the violations committed by intruders into the lands of Saudi Arabia. They also reaffirmed the support of the GCC member states for the unity and stability of the Republic of Yemen. --More
