Tandja Mamadou, President of Niger lauded Saturday Saudi Arabia"s assistance for his country and highlighted the leading role of the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in the service of Islam and Muslims in various parts of the world. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency, he said the King pays great concern to Muslims and Islamic causes in Niger as he cares for all Muslims in the rest of the world. "King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, is a pioneer and a leader for all Muslims around the world. He is always interested in any issue concerning Niger, especially if Niger suffers from human or social calamities. He also cares for pilgrims from Niger when they visit the Kingdom to perform Hajj and offer them good and generous treatment," he added. "We greatly appreciate the assistance provided by the Kingdom to Niger in social, health or humanitarian spheres. Moreover, Saudi Arabia provides great and important support to Niger, and in turn the Nigerien Government is highly appreciative of what Saudi Arabia provides to it," he said. -- More
