British postal workers are back on picket lines as their dispute with Royal Mail management continues, AP reported. Three days of talks this week between the Communication Workers Union and management over modernization didn"t lead to a resolution. The first workers walked off the job around 4 a.m. (0400 GMT) Thursday. The strike is expected to continue through Saturday. Company managing director Mark Higson apologized for the disruption and told the BBC «we are really concerned about the affect for customers.» He said there was a backlog of about 2 million items from earlier strikes. The mail service usually delivers about 75 million items a day. This is the second round of strikes in this dispute. About 120,000 workers were off for two days last week. --SPA
