Mongolia"s Prime Minister Sanj Bayar has tendered his resignation due to poor health, the secretary of the ruling Mongolian People"s Revolutionary Party told Reuters on Monday. Bayar was appointed prime minister late in 2007. Bayar has been suffering liver problems and was admitted to hospital last week in Ulan Bator, China"s Xinhua news agency reported. He had a strong hand in moving forward negotiations on giant projects, including the investment agreement for the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold deposit that was signed this month and the Tavan Tolgoi coking coal deposit, which will drive future revenues for the land-locked country. --SPA
