Hazza noted that the first conference for the Arab publishers aims at enabling publication industry play an influential role . Moreover, it aims at diagnosing the publication industry through discussion of publication issues and its future in the Arab world in addition to reviewing means for removing obstacles that hinder the establishment of publication industry in the Arab world, he said adding that the organization of the conference also aims at enhancing coordination with the Arab authorities concerned with culture and publication. Al-Hazza said the conference will review a number of topics including marketing and distribution of the book in the Arab world, freedom of publication in the Arab world, Arab book fairs, publication of school book in the Arab world, problems of translation in the Arab world, protection of intellectual property, electronic publication in the Arab world, the future of publication industry, as well as relations between the publisher and author. --more
