The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) will participate in the 56th session of World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for the Middle East to be held tomorrow in Fez, Morocco. The Saudi delegation to the 4-day meeting will be led by SRCA Acting Vice President Faiz Al-Ahmari. During the session, the participants will review the regional Director's annual report for the year 2008 regarding WHO activities in the Middle East, traffic accident casualties, the increasing threats of Hepatitis types (C) and (B) in the region, a strategy for cancer prevention and its control in Eastern Mediterranean, improvement of hospitals performance as well as presenting Dr. Ali Tawfeeq Shushah Foundation Award for the year 2009, said Ahmed Ba Rayan, Director of Information at SRCA.
