Chancellor Angela Merkel says she wants to have a new center-right government in place by the time Germany celebrates the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on Nov. 9. Sunday's election gave the conservative Merkel a second four-year term. It allows her to dump her «grand coalition» with the center-left Social Democrats and form a new government with the pro-business Free Democrats, according to a report of the Associated Press. She said Monday that «Germany is entitled to have a new government quickly.» She said it would be good «if I could greet (foreign) heads of government on Nov. 9 with a new government.» Merkel also made clear that she doesn't want to implement spending cuts that might damage Germany's incipient economic recovery.
