The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has signed an agreement with Turkish Bank of Al-Barakah on providing credit facilities amounting to SR 75 million to finance the export of Saudi goods to Turkish importers. The Fund's President and Managing Director Eng. Yosef bin Ibrahim Al-Bassam said that the signing of the agreement came within the framework of good relations between the two countries, noting that the total value of Saudi exports to Turkey amounted to SR11, 650 million in 2008 and Saudi imports SR 7181 million. Al-Bassam indicated that since the inception of the Fund's Saudi Export Program in 2002, the value of credit facilities provided by the Fund in the field of financing and guaranteeing Saudi non-oil exports amounted to SR 13 billion.
