"Since the Declaration of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the establishment of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the scientific community upbeats the birth of this university which is one of the most important educational projects taking place in the Kingdom", the rector of Taif university Dr. Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz Banaja emphasized. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Banaja noting the King's confirmation that the purpose of establishing KAUST is to hold knowledge-based economy contributing to the diversity of sources of national economy, which would be a bridge of communication among civilizations. He expressed congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Mosques and the Crown Prince on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fiter feast.
