Egyptian President Meets U.S. Envoy Mitchell

Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak met here today with U.S. Envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell, currently on a visit to Egypt.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of reviving the peace process in the Middle East and, the halt of Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories and the start of serious negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides to reach the setting up of a Palestinian state.
